I feel so lucky. My life has changed so dramatically over the last few years. I never imagined I would be fortunate enough to spend my days creating -- really just playing. I love what I do so much, I never new life could be so fun and meaningful. My most recent work of art -- creating a beautiful canvas of these precious little twins, Miranda and Ivey. I found the most quaint little quote that seemed to say it all, "Sometimes miracles come in pairs."
For me the phrase, "Twice as Nice" has such a double meaning. Gratitude for the blessings in life...Life is so good!

You must have been a beautiful baby!
Well this little cutie can answer a definite YES! to that question. I fell in love with this photo the minute I saw it. I did several versions but this one is my favorite... I thought the sentimental quote (author unknown) enhanced the beautiful portrait taken by gifted photographer, Vikki Dinh (www.vikkidinhphotography.com).

Graduation Time
It's that time of the year again when all the graduating students get to celebrate their accomplishments. I love this time of year because it represents hope and dreams and aspiration. My most recent canvas project was enhancing a high school senior's graduation picture -- an amazing picture taken by a very talented photographer Vikki Dinh (www.vikkidinhphotography.com) of her beautiful niece, Amber. I love the way it turned out! Congrats and best wishes Amber!

Chocolate Damask
I woke up this morning craving chocolate! I love, love, LOVE chocolate in all of its forms. Chocolate Mousse, chocolate cake donuts with chocolate frosting, fudgy brownies with swirls of sweetened cream cheese, a steamy mocha latte, a peppermint hot cocoa, a decadent molten chocolate cake, Oreos with milk, chocolate truffles (Godiva is my favorite brand) and just recently I tried a spicy chili chocolate truffle - a rich creamy chocolate with a little bite - really cool! This is bringing memories of the movie "Chocolat' with Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp. Oh the chocolate scenes in that movie are to die for! (Not to mention Johnny is a real cutie too!!!) Okay, I am totally digressing... the point is I decided to incorporate a chocolate brown into my design today. I combined it with a soft turquoise color and I played with some damask patterns. I think it turned out delicious! :)
